Hello everyone! Expecting parents, Mum, Dad, Guardian, anyone really with a baby!

I am a 34 year old first time Mum to my beautiful daughter who just turned one recently. While the journey hasn’t been easy, with time and research I have learnt so much and am really excited to share my experience and knowledge gathered about everything baby related in this past one year. I am originally from India, was brought up in Germany and currently live in London. While my parenting practices are naturally influenced by Indian culture and customs, I have also incorporated modern Western approach to try and give my baby the best of both worlds. 

 

Since the day my daughter was born, I wanted to get her the best of everything, from clothes and toys to nursery accessories. Unfortunately, this is not always possible and as parents no matter how much we want to do it just never seems enough. There are a zillion things to buy for your baby and the options for each of those things are unlimited. With limited time on my hands as a new mum, I found myself struggling to find the time to read multiple blogs, check out various baby websites and read reviews on Amazon for every small purchase I had to make. Fortunately, I have two older sisters who have kids and they shared their experiences with me which was really helpful. There was a 'baby and mum essentials' spreadsheet that had been going around the family and it keeps getting updated every year. However, being stuck at home during lockdown meant that I couldn’t physically see anything I wanted to buy or meet my family and other expecting mums. It’s in that moment that I realised that there must be many new mums struggling to find information they can trust, read reviews that are genuine and get first hand information from real mums.
